IAEE (iaee.org) was formed towards the end of the 1970s by university staff members and energy company employees in the USA. The association now counts more than 4 000 members in more than 30 countries worldwide. There are local chapters on all populated continents. IAEE is led by a Council that is elected by the members. An Executive Director appointed by the Council runs the daily affairs.
